Guide to Mixing with Decadent Vapours Flavour Concentrates thumbnail

Decadent Vapours was started by a chef, which explains the quality and craftsmanship behind their flavour concentrates. The Welsh company has been around in the UK vaping community for a long time and have provided vapers with some great flavours over the years.

We stock a wide range of Decadent Vapours flavour concentrates here at ELFC, including Strawberrino, Walter Malone, Welsh Taffi and Rhubarb Cuddle, so we decided to create this guide for those new to DIY mixing and to Decadent Vapours flavour concentrates.

How much flavour concentrate should you use?

Decadent Vapours state that their recommended mix percentage is between 15% and 25%. In our experience using Decadent Vapours flavour concentrates, we suggest that you use 20-25% when making e liquid for standard resistance tanks or lower wattage (20-25 watt) sub ohm tanks. If you are making an e liquid for red hot, very low ohm and very high wattage builds, we suggest that you lower the mix percentage to 15-17% as this will reduce the sweetness in some of their flavours allowing you to experience all of the individual notes. Also, we recommend dropping the mix percentage to 17-18% when making an e liquid at 70% PG or higher.

What PG/VG ratio do we suggest?

Decadent Vapours pre-mixed e liquid is a 50/50 blend as standard. Our opinion that this is a good place to start if you’re new to DIY mixing because 50/50 e liquids are usually good to vape in most standard resistance and sub ohm tanks. We have experimented with Decadent Vapours flavour concentrates at different PG/VG ratios and have always had good results. Even at 85% VG the flavour is still strong and enjoyable.

How long should e liquids be left to steep?

This is a hard one to answer because each flavour is different, but as a general rule, we have found that e liquid made with Decadent Vapours flavour concentrates are usually good to vape after around 7 days. However, some may take longer and we provide our customers with recommended steep times for all of the flavour concentrates we stock.
